Complete UX / UI design and development project for the new website for Elaine Asarch, a contemporary painter located in Denver, CO.
MY ROLE
ElaineAsarchPainting.com was a solo project. I produced everything myself from wireframes through to the final build of the live site (while consulting the client throughout the process). The site was entirely hand-coded, although a jQuery plugin was used for the gallery slideshow.
THE CHALLENGE
Elaine came to me with the need for a new, professional website to showcase her work to galleries and potential buyers. She wanted something that was minimal, letting her work take the spotlight. Elaine often works with architects, so she wanted the site to have a slight architectural feel, which was manifested with the choice of font for her logo, in particular.
WIREFRAMING
Wireframes were created prior to the visual design and coding of the site, in order to plan out the organization and layout of the content.
SOLUTION
The final design is clean and minimal, and easy to navigate. The layout is responsive to accommodate for multiple screen sizes.
